Castasegna is situated in the Bergell valley of Graubünden, right on the border with Italy. Visitors to the village, which lies just above the River Maira, will find an unspoilt natural landscape with idyllic chestnut forests, a surprisingly urban village centre and outstanding architecture. In the former customs building, now converted into a PostBus waiting room, curator Luciano Fasciati has created a unique exhibition space known as the Sala Viaggiatori. The building’s distinctive architecture and the public nature of the space complement the art pavilion as a cultural meeting place.
