The building at Marktgasse 45 in Winterthur, which houses the Pizzeria Ristorante Molino, has a long culinary tradition. It was taken over in 1919 by the Italian consumer cooperative ‘Società Cooperativa’. The restaurant’s success led to the purchase of the neighbouring building in the 1950s to allow for expansion. The extensive alterations to the building’s structure are still evident today and presented a number of challenges during the development of the current interior design.
